144 coaches at institutions in Morris County earned $25,652 on average in 2022

Morris County’s 144 coaches earned an average salary of $25,652 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the sixth lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at New Jersey post-secondary schools during 2022.

Morris County is home to four post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $33,665.

Male coaches of men's teams received $26,274 on average in Morris County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $24,861.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
